Nokia Ovi Store fails in many ways, buy with extreme caution
I have now had two issues with the Nokia Ovi Store over the past couple of weeks and will no longer buy ANY application from the Ovi Store until I see some major improvements in how business is conducted and carried out. Andrew (and I) thought that the Ovi Store could actually rival the Apple App Store, but I see now that this is not going to happen anytime soon, if at all. Android Market is Google’s competitor to the Apple iPhone store
I was sent a link to the Android Community site this morning that led to the Android Developers blog post on the upcoming Android Market that looks to rival the Apple iPhone store for Android-powered devices. They decided to call it a market rather than a store to try to give it that "open" feeling for developers to provide content. There are several screenshots for you to check out too, including the one to the left. The Android Market will let users find, purchase, download and install content on their devices. Apple Adds NDA to App Store Rejection Notices
The situation regarding Apple's App Store for the iPhone is getting weirder by the day. Several applications have been rejected from the App Store based on seemingly dubious claims such as duplication of functionality (even though they didn't duplicate anything), or alikeness to default applications. Two such cases made headline news over the past few days; Podcaster and MailWrangler. The developers of these applications openly protested against these rejections, and apparently, Apple doesn't really like that. Apple now reiterates that rejections fall under the NDA, prohibiting developers from speaking up about rejections.
T-Mobile Launches Dash 3G (PC World)
PC World - T-Mobile today introduced the T-Mobile Dash 3G, a long-awaited refresh of its predecessor, which we first reviewed more than two years ago. The Dash 3G joins this summer's hot parade of new cell phones, which began earlier this month with the launch of the Palm Pre and continues this week with the launch of the Apple iPhone 3G S and next week's launch of the second T-Mobile phone with Android. The Dash 3G will go on sale in stores in July.

PC World - Supposed images of Windows Mobile 7 have been posted to Facebook for the entire world to see just hours before Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is expected to unveil the mobile OS at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The images come from the German-based mobile blog Learnbemobile, and show what looks like a backdrop for Ballmer's talk featuring what may or may not be the home screen for WinMo 7.
